Man Charged With Dog Roaming Violations

The roaming was at a local school, police said.

A Vernon man who lives in the Northeast School neighborhood has been charged with two violations on the grounds, police said.

Anthony Calabrese, 62, of 59 1/2 East St., was charged with two counts of allowing a dog to roam and a violation of town ordinance No. 127 - in a park after dark, police said.

He was arrested at 8:44 p.m. on Friday. The police call log for that day indicates that a car was sent to the school at that time.

He is due in court on Sept. 25, police said.
