Man Charged for Allegedly Heaving a Beer Bottle at a Window

It started as an argument, police said.

A Norwich man is facing a pair of charges after allegedly throwing a beer bottle through a window at 6:18 p.m. on Friday, police said.

A police call log indicates a disturbance took place at 150 Prospect St. at that time. 

Ariel Lopez-Calderon, 24, of 4 Russell Rd. Norwich, was involved in a verbal altercation with the bother of his girlfriend, police said. He then threw the bottle at the man's window, causing to to break, police said.

He left the scene, but was located at his girlfriend's house, police said.

Lopez-Calderon was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief.

He was assigned a Jan. 22 court date on a $1,000 bond, police said.
