Man Arrested for Sending Harassing Texts

A woman is facing charges after crashing into a school bus.

A Wethersfield man is facing second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct charges after a police investigation determined he sent more than 100 text messages to a former girlfriend in Vernon, according to an arrest report.

Christopher Earl Parrott, 34, of 41 Thornbush Rd., Wethersfield, was arrested at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday. He was transported to the Vernon Police Department and assigned a $1,500 bond, police said.

He is due in court today, police said.

A Vernon woman is facing evading responsibility and unsafe backing charges for her involvement in a crash with a school bus, police said.

The incident took place on Sept. 8, police said. There were students on the bus at the time of the incident, police said, and no injuries were reported.

Brittany, Towhill, 20, of 8 Eastview Drive, surrendered to police on Thursday, police said. She was released on a written promise to appear in court on Oct. 3, police said.
