List of Charges Against a Vernon Man Gets Longer
Six more violations have been added to his file, police said.
A Vernon man with a long recent arrest history has been charged with more crimes, a Vernon police arrest report indicates.
He has been is custody for about a month.
Police said the latest set of charges against Robert Ignatowicz involves:
• Disobeying an officer.
• Failure to renew a motor vehicle registration.
• Operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
• An improper rear marker.
• The improper use of a marker/registration/license.
• A traffic signal violation.
His bond was set at $5,000 with a Wednesday court date, police said.
In mid-July, Ignatowicz had been arrested three times over a 17-day period for incidents like nuisance public drunkenness and shoplifting.
At one point, a police dog located him hiding from authorities behind Price Chopper.
Prior to Tuesday, his latest case involved:
• Three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, three counts of second-degree criminal trespass and a single count of sixth-degree larceny. The bond was set at $30,000, police said.
• Second-degree failure to appear and a bond of $5,000.
• Failure to respond to an infraction and a bond of $5,000.
• Second-degree failure to appear and a bond of $5,000.
• Second-degree faille to appear and a bond of $5,000.
• Failure to respond to an infraction and a bond of $5,000.
Ignatowicz, 58, lives at 25 Linden Place, according to police records.
