It was a Coke and a Frown for Alleged Dealer After Task Force Sting

The bust took place at a Vernon McDonald's.

It was a little more than the dollar menu when police did a drive-through at the Route 31 McDonald's in Vernon on Wednesday. 

And a Storrs man is facing a plethora of drug charges as a result. 

On Wednesday at about 6 p.m., members of the East Central Narcotics task force conducted a buy-bust operation on 22-year-old Peter Finnegan, a man described as a alleged heroin dealer in a task force news release. 

Finnegan lives at 399 Eagleville Rd. in Storrs, police said. The sting took place in the McDonald's parking lot, police said. 

Task force members seized more than 2 grams of of crack cocaine, 30 bags of heroin, some marijuana and "other drug paraphernalia," according to a news release. 

Police said Finnegan was charged with: 

• Heroin possession.
• The sale of heroin.
• Operating a drug factory.
• Misrepresentation of drugs. 
• Marijuana possession. 
• Possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Cocaine possession. 
• Operating a motor vehicle under suspension.

He was being held on a $250,000 surety bond on Wednesday night, police said.
