A Vernon man is due in court on Nov. 20 to face weapons, drug and motor vehicle charges, police said.
At 7:49 p.m. Thursday, Leroy Shawn Christy, 23, of 42 Talcott Ave, was stopped by police at 69 Windsor Ave. - the Subway on Route 83 - law enforcement records indicate.
He was initially pulled over for a headlight violation, according to an arrest report.
Police seized marijuana and drug equipment, and a facsimile firearm was found under the front seat, according to an arrest report.
Christy was charged with:
• Failure to have headlamps.
• Possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana.
• The use of drug paraphernalia.
• Weapons in a motor vehicle.
He was released on a $1,000 bond, police said.
