The Vernon Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a local condominium complex at 1:26 p.m. on Thursday.
The fire at Ryefield's Unit 17 required a "full response" according to Capt. Charles Konarsky.
Fire Vehicles could be heard screaming through Vernon Center, up Route 83 and onto Loveland Hill Road, where Ryefield is located. Fires can be complicated in the units because some have five different levels.
Fire Chief William Call said two residents were displaced and are now living with relatives.
Fire officials are investigating the blaze.
