Ellington Firemen's Parade Highlights the Annual Carnival
Vernon's new vehicles and a Tolland ambulance added to the procession with the Ellington ladder truck.
The annual firemen's parade always seems to be the highlight of the annual carnival put on by the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department.
Ellington was there on Saturday, of course, and so was Crystal Lake.
Vernon came from one of the town's borders and Somers from another. Tolland and Satfford also came by.

The carnival itself featured the traditional cake booth, bands, and a lot of other fine fair fare.
One unwanted visitor came to at about 8 p.m. when lighting began to flash and a few drops of rain fell. Then, the skies opened up, sending the crowds to their cars.
