The case: A Greenwich resident was reportedly of thousands dollars at gunpoint in broad daylight on Sept. 8.

The OMG-PD twist: The crime occurred minutes after he sold a used car just across the New York state line in Port Chester. Police said the male resident had just sold the car to another man at the teardrop-shaped intersection where West Putnam Avenue meets Byram Road and North Main Street, on the west side of town. Police said after the transaction occurred, someone drove the resident to Ann Street, in Greenwich. Police said as the resident exited the vehicle he was approached by a male suspect who brandished a gun and demanded cash. Police said no shots were fired and the victim was able to provide a description of the suspect.

The case: Trouble kept adding up last weekend for a Montville man.

The OMG-PD twist: The man was suspected of cutting power to the and scaling a barbed wire fence Sept. 5 in an effort to liberate a small hound with "special needs," police said. The man was first arrested Sept. 3 by and locked up overnight on drug charges. He was taken into custody Sept. 4 in Hartford on suspicion of larceny. Early Labor Day he was found in the woods near the pound after officers responded to an alarm at 5:55 a.m., police said.

A couple has been arrested for

The OMG-PD twist: A New Haven couple reportedly pretended to be police officers and pulled over a Hamden couple and their infant child on Sept. 8. The New Haven man allegedly flashed a gun during the incident, police said. The female suspect was reportedly in possession of animal control badges from New Canaan and Naugatuck, police said. The gun, a .40 caliber Glock, was recovered and the New Haven couple was arrested, .

The case: Statford police said a had a cell phone in one hand and a beer in the other.

The OMG-PD twist: Stratford police arrested a West Haven man Sept. 3 after he was allegedly spotted drinking a can of beer and talking on a cell phone while he was driving through one of the town’s busiest intersections.While the officer watched, the man reportedly paused in his cell phone conversation to drink out of a Budweiser can, police said. A bag of marijuana and cocaine was reportedly found in the vehicle, too, police told Stratford Patch.

The case:

A er has been charged with stealing mail — again.

The OMG-PD Twist: A part-time U.S. Postal worker was arrested again for allegedly stealing gift cards from mail in North Branford. The 31-year-old Wallingford resident was first arrested on Aug. 4 on charges that she stole mail containing gift cards. On Sept. 6, she was hit with more charges as police reportedly uncovered more evidence that showed the woman had stolen more cards than she was originally charged with. She was hit with 30 charges of sixth-degree larceny, North Branford Patch reports.
