Woman Found Dead in Vernon Woods
Police report that the death is not considered suspicious.
Vernon police were notified of a dead woman in the woods Friday night. According to police, the death is not believed to be suspicious, although an autopsy will be performed.
The identity of the woman has not been released so police can contact all of her next of kin.
According to Vernon police, the woman's boyfriend called someone about her condition, leading to police notification. Police report that her body was found far off in the woods behind on Route 31. At least two homeless people were believed to live in the area, police report.
