Cops Arrest Five for Domestic Violence Incidents

The incidents took place on Thursday.

Vernon police made five domestic violence arrests on Thursday.

A Vernon man was arrested after getting into a physical altercation with his girlfriend - and police - at his 26 Park West Dr. home late Thursday, according to an arrest report.

Jermaine Robinson, 31, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, and interfering with an officer. Police said his girlfriend suffered injuries around the eyes and nose during the incident, police said.

He also resisted police while being taken into custody and while he was being booked, according to an arrest report.  

His bond was set at $7,500 and he was to appear in court on Friday, police said.

The incident took place at 11:05 p.m. on Thursday, police said.



An Enfield man was arrested at 9:15 p.m. on Thursday to answer charges related to what Vernon police are calling "a violent physical domestic disturbance with his child's mother," according to an arrest report.

Aram Brodeur, 28, of 19 Weymouth Dr., Enfield, entered the woman's Vernon home illegally, assaulted her, and fled the scene, police said. State police located him and brought him to Vernon police headquarters, an arrest report states.

He was to be presented in court on Friday after being held on a $200,000 bond for charges that include violating a protective order, risk of injury to a child, first-degree burglary, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, police said.



Rebecca Jackson, 55, of 111 Prospect St., was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace for a domestic violence incident, police said.

She was arrested at 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, released on a $500 bond, and was to appear in court on Friday, police said.



Alex Rivera, 29, of 137 1/2 Vernon Ave., was charged with second-degree breach of peace after he fought with his girlfriend, police said.

He was arrested at 6:06 p.m. on Thursday and is due in court on Dec. 20, police said.

His bond was at at $1,000, police said.



A Vernon man slapped his wife in the face during an argument and is now facing a third-degree assault and an accusation that he interfered with an emergency call, police said.

Peter Orlowski, 49, was held overnight Thursday on a $5,000 bond and was to appear in court on Friday, police said.

Orlowski lives at 31 Hale St. Ext., policer said. The incident took place at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
