A Pair of Slaps, A Wild Card at the Road Race and a Trashy Hand

It's another set of OMG cases.

Here is a look at some remarkable police cases from around the state this week:

The Case: Talk about a chip on the shoulder.

The OMG-PD Twist: Manchester Police charged a local man with disorderly conduct for allegedly slapping someone across the face over .



The Case: Slapping seemed to be fashionable, even at Greenwich Hospital.

The OMG-PD Twist: A Greenwich woman was charged with disorderly conduct doe slapping someone.



The Case: The Hartford man arrested last week for protesting during the 75th annual Manchester Road Race, says he was wrongfully arrested by the Manchester Police Department while trying to exercise his First Amendment rights.

The OMG-PD Twist: The man, who was charged with first-degree , attended the race carrying a black and yellow sign that read “UTC-SUICIDE.COM/” which is a link to a Web site created by him.



The Case: An 18-year-old Wilton man was arrested for driving intoxicated and for stealing two mailboxes--both of which were found in the back of his truck.

The OMG-PD Twist: Police believe there might be some going on at Wilton High School which led to the vandalism.



The Case: There was a lot of trash talk in Waterford.

The OMG-PD Twist: A , closing down Route 32 at the intersection with Red Cedar Avenue. The driver escaped without injury. With instruction from emergency responders, the driver dumped out the trash in the truck on a vacant lot on the side of Route 32.
