The Town Council on Tuesday elected Steve Wakefield deputy mayor and set its schedule for 2014.
Wakefield was the top vote-getter in the town council race during municipal elections earlier this month.
He received 2,838 votes.
Traditionally, the Town Council's meetings takes place on the first and third
Tuesday of the each month, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. The exceptions are one meeting per month in July and August.
The first meeting in September - Sept. 2 - is eliminated because of its proximity to the Labor Day weekend. Nov. 4 is Election Day and the council will not meet.
