The Town Council on Tuesday voted to put $1 million back into the Board of Education's budget request for the 2013-14 Fiscal year.
The vote was 9-3.
The school budget was $49.4 million before the meeting. - a number more that $2 million lighter than the Board of Education request.
The budget proposal totaled $82.6 million before the council meeting.
The council then recessed to finalize a date for a third referendum.
