My son just joined a fantasy football league. We did it through the ESPN Web site. First I had to find a league that did not include curse words or innuendo in its name or its description. Not easy. Then he had to figure out how to put together his team. Took a couple of days. This morning he says to me, “Now what?” I said, “I think you need them to play, right?” “Oh,” he says. “Right.”
Revenge, 8 p.m., ABC
This is absolutely worth playing catch up so you can jump into season 2 with both feet at the end of the month. Awesomely overly dramatic melodrama.
Boardwalk Empire, 9 p.m., HBO
“Nucky makes a resolution; Margaret considers a hospital expansion; Gillian builds a new business; Van Alden stumbles onto a confrontation.” I know, I know this show is brilliant and I should watch it. It’s brilliantly slow moving, that’s for sure.
