The Eye gives us a glimpse of what we can expect for the new shows in the fall. What are you looking forward to?

The Voice, 8 p.m., NBC
It’s back! It hasn’t even been gone that long and it’s back! That’s fine – I love it, although if you threatened me with bodily harm unless I told you the name of the most recent winner, I would have to tell you “Beat me up,” since I cannot remember who won in May.

Hell’s Kitchen, 8 p.m., Fox
Winner!

Master Chef, 9 p.m., Fox
Winner!

My question to you would be...Have you contacted your child's teacher first before asking other's…Read More opinions? This is a prime example of why certain people should not be allowed to post on forums! You "Concerned Parent" If you had this complaint in November it may be valid if it was true. However, the last week or so of school is a winding down period of time in all schools. Homework tends to end as teachers get to the end of their curriculum. Just because a student doesn't have homework doesn't mean they are just watching movies all day. I volunteer my time at CRS and have been in the 5th grade room many times this month. I can tell you from my point of view things seem fairly busy. Besides, having students do "busy work" is in my opinion is an even bigger waste of time! Also...If you think for a minute this could be a reason for the bottom 30 label, you are just plain crazy!

Just maybe their are other parents wanting…Read More to express themselves with other issues that were going on through out the school year to add to her concern. Now that you are bullying Concerned Parent. Who would want to come on the Patch to express their concerns. Your opinion for kissing up to the school system that they do no wrong is a bunch of malarkey! Not every parent will agree with the bunch of you coming on here fighting for more money in the budget for the kids. You all sit right next to the BOE and preached that our school systems needs more money, while all along money came down from the State. They weren't even honest with you!!

I have discovered from researching the new “rigorous” National Common Core Standards.…Read More First of all, I learned that in order for our state to receive available Federal stimulus money, state Governors and Chief State School Officers around the country were required to sign a Memo of Understanding by January 2010 promising to adopt a national common standard. I also learned that local district Superintendents and School Board Presidents were encouraged by the state to sign a similar Memo of Understanding by May 28, 2010 if they wanted their district to receive any of the money.
