When Selling a Home What Matters Most on The Inside

Strong curb appeal will bring home buyers in,  but it’s the inside that will ultimately sell your home. A home buyer will look around the inside of your home and make a judgment of how well you have kept up your home. A clean home, even if it’s not updated, will give the potential home buyer a positive impression of a cared for home. The following is a checklist of easy improvements you can make to your home’s interior before selling.

1. Clean the windows inside & out

2. Clean floors and shampoo carpets

3. Scrub the bathroom tiles and fixtures. (remember kitchens & baths really do sell homes)

4. Clean heating and air conditioning filters

5. Repair dripping faucets

6. Make sure all doors are on track, don’t stick or squeak

7. Always keep your home neat and picked-up

8. If a room needs a fresh coat of paint, use a neutral light beige.

9. Get rid of clutter, clean out closets, cabinets & garage

10. Think about how your home smells. Unfortunately, pets, cigarettes and even food smells can be a real turn off to a potential buyer.
