Vernon Tag Sales This Weekend

I love tag sales. There's something so fun about the tag sale treasure hunt.

Last weekend, I went to three estate sales. Two of them were busts but at the third one, I hit mason jar jackpot. I bought two big boxes worth of mason jars and this awesome, handmade paper lantern.

As I was leaving, the woman running the sale told me the items belonged to her 102-year-old grandmother. She told me how much her grandmother loved doing crafts and how most people who came to the sale didn't want to hear the story behind the stuff.

That's what it's all about, isn't it? We're not just swapping stuff, but swapping stories.
