Superintendent has Challenged Students to Keep Going Green

Who will get the trophy?

The latest round of the Superintendent's Challenge to Vernon students has been very, very green.

And it has been all about Earth Day.

From Earth Day itself - April 22 - through the end of the week, Superintendent of Schools Mary Conway has been asking students to fill out a form describing "how you are changing the world by going green in school and at home."

The school that turns in the most Earth Day challenge forms will be awarded the Superintendent's Challenge trophy, Conway said.

The challenge form asks the students to complete, "I promise to help the Earth by …"

Some of the answers so far are beach cleanup and filling the recycling bins at home.
