Tag Sale Fundraiser

     Underground Student Ministries of Christian Life Church in Vernon is hosting a Tag Sale Fundraiser on Saturday May 24, 2014 from 9am - 3pm. All funds will go directly to benefit a National Fine Arts Competition & Youth Convention the student will be attending in Columbus, Ohio during the last week of July.  We must raise $16,000 to make the trip happen for these students & their chaperones. Every penny helps. Please consider donating to our cause.       
     On April 25, 11of our students competed in a District Fine Arts Festival Competition in East Hartford. All 11 students received high scores and an invitation to compete in the National competition in the areas of Female Vocal Solo, Small Vocal Ensemble (Trio) and Large Group Human Video (story acted out to music). Of the 11 competitors, only4 have participated in Fine Arts before. The other 11 were first-timers. We are very proud of our students. They have worked hard over the past several months preparing for this competition.  Our team has been trained in the above mentioned areas as well as Christian band (many hadn't played an instrument up until the time of joining this group), photography, 2D & 3D art, human video solo and short film.        
     This is a very talented group of students and it is a privilege to work with them. In Underground Student Ministries, it is our goal to train up students in godliness, discipline, strong moral character, hard work, compassion,  and with life goals & purpose in mind as they make daily life decisions. We teach them how to step outside the "norm" of society and live in a way that is pleasing to Christ & purposeful to the Lord & their future. Thank you for helping support our group.  :)
