The Rockville High Boys Basketball team under new head coach Nate martins hit the hardwood floor this past Friday night at Hall High School in West Hartford for their season opener. The team came away with a victory edging Hall High 73 to 67. The Rams led at the end of three quarters 54-42 when Hall fought back to take a brief two point lead in the fourth quarter. The Rams quickly regained the lead and never looked back.
Rockville was lead by Tarchee Brown (25 points) and Tyler Johnson (23 points) with Jacob Kennedy adding (14 points). The rest of the scoring was made by Sean O'Gara (5 points), Adam Barselau (2 points), Brian Ducas (2 points) and Raheim Huff (2 points).
The Rams JV team under new head coach Art Thomas suffered thier first loss where the Rams Freshman team under the direction of new coach and 2010 Rockville High Alum Brian O'Gara won their first game.
The Rams face Bloomfield High Monday (12/23/13) Evening at home with the Freshman game starting at 3:45PM followed by the JV game at 5:30PM with the Varsity game starting at 7:00PM.
