Rockville Farmers Market
The third season of the Rockville Farmers Market, as sponsored by the Rockville
Downtown Association, has begun. The market will run every
Thursday through October, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of
Courthouse Plaza, across from Town Hall.
This year the RDA is pleased to welcome even more vendors to its market and you will find a wide array of home grown, fresh and some organic goodies.
And there's a new twist this year: every Thursday there will be a free raffle
for a basket of delicious goodies from the various vendors. The first Thursday
of the month will be a for all Town of Vernon employees. The second Thursday
will be for ECHN and Rockville Public Library employees and the third Thursday
will be for state of Connecticut employees. The fourth Thursday will be for the
general public. Employees will just need to show their official ID's or badges
on the appropriate week to be entered for the free drawing. Winners will be
notified at the end of the market day.
Every Thursday the public will be able to shop for vegetables, fruits, jams,
eggs, meat, bakery goods, plants, kettle corn, hand-crafted birdhouses and
jewelry and more. They will also be offering different entertainment programs
each week.
But local, buy fresh every Thursday at the Rockville Farmers Market.
