New AARP Smart Driver Course In Manchester

On
Thursday, March 27, AARP Driver Safety is offering its newly revised Smart
Driver Course at The Manchester Senior Center. 
The classroom fee is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. 

The 4-hour AARP Smart
Driver course teaches valuable defensive driving skills and provides a
refresher of the rules of the road. Since 1979, the course has also helped over
14 million drivers learn proven safety strategies and tips for how to adapt
one’s driving to compensate for physical and cognitive changes that may come
with aging. Connecticut residents 60 and older, by law, qualify for a minimum
5% automobile liability insurance discount for at least two years by completing
the course. Many insurance companies don’t have an age limit and may extend the
discount to younger policyholders. Check with your insurance provider.

The Manchester Senior Center is located at 549 Middle Turnpike
East.  You must register in person at
