Fun for Kids: Minds in Motion

Minds in Motion is an afternoon of fun workshops
which engage students with hands-on, fast-paced, interactive,
high-interest 

workshops on topics not available in the traditional classroom.  Topics include:



·        
Building a LEGO robot



·        
Designing and building
theatrical rod puppets

Find out what's happening in Vernonwith free, real-time updates from Patch.



·        
Having a high tech
treasure hunt



·        
Connecting your mind
and body with dance and doodling

·        
Making animals move to
music, tell stories, and solve problems



·        
Making suds and learning
about chemical composition, light, color, and aerodynamics



·        
Learning sign language



In addition, parents attend
a keynote and special-interest workshops on important topics related to raising
high potential children, network with other parents, learn from informative vendors,
and receive free literature.



Minds in Motion is put
on by the Connecticut Association for the Gifted (CAG) and The Plainfield
Unified PTO to benefit students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
