A Vernon man is due in court on March 12 to answer a variety of drug charges, police said.
At just past 8:15 on Monday night, police responded to consecutive calls for a suspicious situation and trespassing on the 600 block of Talcottville Road, according to an activity log.
At 8:20 p.m., police took into custody 22-year-old Qasim Hussnain, 22, of 200 Regan Rd., police said.
He was charged with failing to keep narcotics in their original container, marijuana possession, and the sale of a controlled substance, police said.
A Vernon police canine unit made the arrest, according to police records. His bond was set at $5,000, police said.
