Through Dec. 31, Vernon Patch is counting down 10 stories that made a difference the the town, to our way of life.
Some of the news was good, some was bad and some was even ugly.
Here's No. 6 - Rockville High School Principal Eric Baim's DUI arrest.
In August, Baim was given a 10-day suspension without pay - the stiffest penalty available short of being fired.
Baim was charged with DUI and running a stop sign in Berlin on July 13.
Reaction was mixed from harsh criticism to a groundswell of support, particularly from students.
