The Top 10 Stories of 2012: No. 6 - RHS Principal on the Hot Seat

He received a suspension after a DUI arrest.

Through Dec. 31, Vernon Patch is counting down 10 stories that made a difference the the town, to our way of life.

Some of the news was good, some was bad and some was even ugly. 

Here's No. 6 - Rockville High School Principal Eric Baim's DUI arrest.

In August, Baim was given a 10-day suspension without pay - the stiffest penalty available short of being fired.

Baim was charged with DUI and running a stop sign in Berlin on July 13.

Reaction was mixed from harsh criticism to a groundswell of support, particularly from students.

Eric Baim is the best thing that has ever happened to RHS. He made a mistake after all he is human. The courts dealt with him appropriately now stop talking about it and let him move on and do his job!
