Snow Again Messes with Lincoln Day Breakfast

McGurk will still be honored, but on another day.

OK, one year it was snow.

One year it did not snow, but there was snow on a roof over at the Fish and Game Club and it caved in.

Now there is more snow in another forecast.

Thus, the annual Lincoln Day Breakfast, sponsored by the Vernon Republican Town Committee, has been postponed for the third time in the past five years. The event was scheduled for Saturday, but with a blizzard in the forecast, it has been moved to Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m. at the Rockville Fish and Game Club.

The keynote speaker and honoree is William McGurk, the former Rockville Bank chairman.

Tickets are $20 per person and $30 per family.
