Normal Vernon Trash and Recycling Schedule Resumes on Friday
The Department of Public Works is advising residents on bin placement.
The trash and recycling pickup schedule resumes on Friday.
Here is an advisory from the Vernon Department of Public Works:
"This is a reminder to Vernon residents that collection of refuse and recycling will resume for the regular Friday routes on Friday, Feb. 15.

"Please place refuse and recycling carts to the edge of the snow banks so that the automated trucks can empty them. Placing the carts behind snow banks makes collection difficult and may interrupt service. Remember to place the carts at least 3 feet apart and at least 3 feet away from a vehicle, a mailbox or a utility pole.
"For any questions regarding refuse and recycling, please call the Public Works Office at 860-870-3500.
