Vernon Junior Women's Club Celebrates CJW Week

Come to a meet-and-greet and learn more about Vernon Junior Women's Club as we celebrate all the service and dedication of Junior Women Clubs throughout Connecticut.

Vernon Junior Women's Club has been around for over 50 years helping in the Vernon community. We participate in events ranging from running Safety Town (teaching pre-kindergarten kids important safety skills such as bus safety, fire safety, and calling 911) to assisting with the Vernon Winterfest in downtown Rockville. We've helped with the Vernon Police Awards Night, provided scholarships for high school seniors, and donated money to many local charities.

But even more importantly, we get together each month and share in each other's lives. In this busy society, it's a chance for us to have a space of our own and help the community we believe in. We support each other, listen to each other, and get to know each other. Many friends made in VJWC are friends for life.

As part of CJW Week, which celebrates and promotes Junior Women Clubs throughout Connecticut, VJWC is hosting a meet-and-greet for interested women over 18 on November 8 at New England Pizza in Vernon. The event will be from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Free pizza and beverages will be provided. In addition, we'll be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to Hockanum Valley Community Council. Donations are needed more than ever with the upcoming holidays.

Go out late a "night", when it is very quite, call his name. I have found many cats thisRead More way, because house cats don't like a lot of noise and are very afraid. Your cat is hiding, will be afraid to come out. Look in areas were there is woods, secluded areas.
