Visions for Vacancies: What's in the Cars for Former Dealership?

It's ready to be rented.

This one's in a funny spot. Could be good, could be considered a crossroads, depending on who is commenting.

But anyway, let's see how this plays out. In a column called Visions for Vacancies, we present a vacant building and ask you to tell us what you think would be the best use for it.

Yes, we have zoning regulations, but put all of that aside for now and concentrate on what you would like to see there or what would be the best use for the community.

Today, we are featuring the Old Scranton Motors commercial division building on Windsorville Road, next to Stop & Shop. It has a small parking lot, near a busy store and car dealership and right off a main road.

But it is also kind of, sort of, tucked in a corner.

What do you think should go there? What's the best use?

About this column: In highlighting vacant buildings in Vernon, we are aiming to help residents take a proactive role in planning and building their community. We'll take your feedback to public officials and property owners. Know of a vacant building we should highlight? Tell us in the comments below, or e-mail Vernon Patch editor Chris Dehnel at chris.dehnel@patch.com.
