Vernon Insurance Agency Pledges $555 in Food Pantry Aid

The agency conducted a fund-raiser for a month.

Adam Weissberger, president and CEO of the State Farm Insurance Agency in Vernon, and a Vernon Town Council member, announced this week the results of his business’s month-long campaign to benefit Hockanum Valley Community Council through FoodShare. 

He issued the following news release: 

“I am pleased to announce that my business has received and donated over 200 individual food items directly to the food pantry, and as a result of policy sales in the month of July, a donation of $555 will be made to FoodShare, for the benefit ofHVCC.” 

Adam went on to say, “These food items and this donation will help to make sure that our most needy residents will have access to the food they need for themselves and their families” “I know some local businesses also have events planned for HVCC, and I encourage residents and businesses alike to support to help out in any way they can,” Adam said. 

Last month, Adam made a pledge to donate $5 of every net policy issued, and his office had 111 net policies issue in the month. 

Adam said the donation will be credited to HVCC’s account at FoodShare, and that the donation should be there by the end of next week.
