Vernon Burger King Calls on Customers to Help Fight Cancer

In the last 13 years, Burger King has raised nearly $11 million for cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, according to a news release.

Now through Monday, Sept. 2, locals can help fight cancer by contributing $1 to the Jimmy Fund through the A Chance for Kids & Families program at the participating Vernon Burger King.

The restaurant is located at 304 Hartford Turnpike.

“The BURGER KING® family around the world is dedicated to making a difference in the communities in which we work and live,” said Jim Froio, BURGER KING® franchisee and president, New England Association.

“Cancer touches so many lives and A Chance for Kids & Families helps support the fine work done at Dana-Farber ridding the world of cancer. We are happy to continue our support of this program and look forward to supporting it in the future," he said.
