The commercial property at 410 Talcottville Road - Route 83 - is being prepared for a motorized scooter company, Economic Development Coordinator Shaun Gately said.
The property, whose building resembles a residential home, sits near the Tractor Supply Co. parking lot
Crews have bee clearing the rear portion of the parcel to make way for parking, Gately said.
The business will be called Scooter Pros, Gately said. plans have already been reviewed by the local Design Review Commission. Renovations will mostly be to the facade of the building, Gately said. Work is expected to take a few months to complete, Gately said.
Gately said that area of town is a prime location for a small business because 30,000 cars per day drive by.
