Price Chopper Recalling Fruit Pies

According to the supermarket chain's Web site, the topping contains eggs, an ingredient not listed on the label.

Price Chopper is voluntarily recalling some Price Chopper brand streusel pies.

The recall, effective Feb. 27, involves 5-inch apple, cherry and blueberry pies, the supermarket chain indicated on its Web site.

The supermarket also sold 8-inch peach pies that fall under the recall, according to the Web site.  

According to the supermarket chain's Web site, the streusel topping contains eggs, an ingredient not listed on the label.

Consumers can return the pie to their local Price Chopper for a full refund. For more information, visit www.pricechopper.com or call 1-800-666-7667 and select option 3.

There is a Price Chopper at Vernon Circle at 35 Talcottville Road - state Route 83.
