Papa Johns Opens in Vernon

Papa John's Pizza opened a new store location on Friday at 40 Windsorville Rd. 

Mayor Daniel Champagne presided over a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony. 

The franchise is located at the old Scranton Motors commercial truck building.

 “We’re thrilled to be opening yet another location here in Connecticut,” said franchise operating partner and connecticut resident, David Kass. “After a successful grand opening in Bloomfield, we knew this was the right choice for expanding the business.”

The store gave away 1,000 free pizza slices as part of the opening day festivities.

“We gave away 1,000 free slices because we are confident that our product is the highest quality,” said Larry Litton, franchise operating partner and Connecticut resident. “We want to give people the opportunity to try our pizza and fall in love with it!” 

The restaurant is hiring 40 new employees and currently seeking applicants for delivery drivers. Interested parties can apply in person at the store Monday through Friday.
