The Tolland County Chamber of Commerce has called off one of its showcase events that was scheduled for Saturday.
An e-mail notice went out to chamber friends and members at 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday indicating its Treasures or Trinkets show has been postponed.
No explanation was given and chamber officials could not be reached late Wednesday afternoon via e-mail.
A posting on the chamber's Web site was two sentences:
The Treasures or Trinkets event that was scheduled for Saturday, September 15th has been postponed. Watch for new and exciting plans for an even bigger and better event to come!
Treasures or Trinkets was a chance for people to get their old stuff appraised by professionals, similar to the Antiques Road Show television program.
