VCMS Students Presenting Unique Workshop at Arts Center

The event is scheduled for Feb. 10.

On Sunday, Feb. 10, eighth-grade EPOCH art students from Vernon Center Middle School along with their art teacher, Sherri Nevins, have scheduled a "One Million Bones Workshop" at the Vernon Community Arts Center.

The event is slated to begin at 1 p.m.

One Million Bones is a fund-raising art installation and education project designed to recognize the millions of victims killed or displaced by ongoing genocides. Its mission is to increase global awareness of the ongoing devastation of genocide, raise money to protect and aid displaced victims and educate students about tolerance through art.

For more information about One Million Bones visit www.onemillionbones.org.

Admission is free all ages and those younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Vernon Community Arts Center is located at 709 Hartford Turnpike.
