Library's Student Art Exhibit to Open on March 5

The works will be on display until March 29.

The Rockville Public Library will be hosting its annual Vernon Student Art Exhibit from March 5 through 29.

In order to assemble the exhibit, art teachers in the Vernon school system select the exceptional art work of students from the first grade through senior year of high school. The chosen oil paintings, watercolors, charcoal drawings, paper sculptures and ceramic creations are then arranged in the Edith Peck Room on the Rockville Public Library’s lower level.

As in past years, the Friends of the Rockville Public Library will host a reception on opening night from 6 to 8.

Refreshments will be served, and entertainment will be provided by the Vernon Flute Choir, a group of students from Vernon Center Middle School and Rockville High School.

The public will be able to view the exhibit from March 5 through March 29 during regular library hours.

The Rockville Public Library isolated at 52 Union St.
