Winterfest Includes the Annual Local Holiday Decorating Contest
The voting will be on Vernon Patch.
What would the annual Winterfest be without the annual decorating contest?
As in past years, several categories will highlight the contest:
• Best residential.
• Best Commercial.
• Best Doorway.
• Best Neighborhood.
• Best "green" display.
• No or low-use of electricity.
The entry form is attached. Entries must be received by Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. at the Vernon Parks and Recreation Dept. (860-870-3520 for more information), 120 South St. or via alocandro@vernon-ct.gov.
The entries will be posted on Vernon Patch and voting will take place in the comment section of the entry story.
The contest is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department, the Rockville Community Alliance and Vernon Patch.
The winners will be chosen on Dec. 19.
