Update: Winter Weather Visiting Vernon Again Overnight and Into Saturday

The DMV has called off Saturday road tests.

Winter paid a visit to town this week.

Those leaving Town Hall at about 10 p.m. on Thursday were greeted with cars  covered with snow and a steady snowfall continued until about midnight. Residents awoke to a covering of about 3 inches, which did not affect the start of school on Friday.

More clouds are expected to roll into Vernon tonight and snow showers will take place periodically throughout the overnight period, according to the AOL Weather forecast.

Snow during the morning will taper off to just a few snow showers during the afternoon, AOL Weather says. Temperatures during the day should top off at 27 with northeasterly winds of 10 to 15 mph.

A total of up to 7 inches of snow is expected.

The Department of Motor Vehicles has canceled its Saturday road tests.
