Vernon Transfer Station to be Closed Sunday
The DPW is suspending operations for the day because of weather.
The Vernon Department of Public Works has issued the following news release about the transfer station and an expected winter storm:
TOWN OF VERNON TRANSFER STATION CLOSING
Due to the expected bad weather, the Town of Vernon Transfer Station located on Hockanum Boulevard will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, from noon to 4 p.m.

It will be open the normal hours of operation on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and Saturday, Dec. 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. and next Sunday, Dec. 22, from noon to 4 p.m.
