Vernon DPW Offering Mulch Delivery
Mulch can also be picked up at the Transfer Station
Any resident with the mulchies can get delivery to satisfy the craving.
The Vernon Public Works Department will drop off a 4-cubic-yard load of mulch for $60 on an as-available basis.
Mulch will be delivered onto driveways only at a location clearly marked by the resident, DPW officials said.
Interested residents should call the Public Works office at 860-870-3500 to schedule a delivery. Mulch will continue to be available at the Transfer Station to Vernon residents free of charge. A permit and punchcard are not required.
The Transfer Station is located on Hockanum Boulevard and is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
