Vernon DPW Has a Cure for the Fall Mulchies

Takeout and delivery are both on the menu.

Mulch is still available to Vernon residents through the Department of Public Works.

The DPW will deliver a 4-cubic-yard load of mulch (based on quantities) for $60, DPW Director Robert Kleinhans said. Mulch will be dropped off onto driveways only at a location clearly marked by the resident, he said.   Interested residents should call the Public Works Office at 860-870-3500 to schedule a delivery, he said.

Mulch will continue to be available at the Transfer Station to Vernon residents free of charge, Kleinhans said.  A permit and punch card are not required for the mulch, Kleinhans said.
