Vernon Animal Control Wants Pets to Have Homes for the Holidays
An adoption event is planned for Saturday.
The Vernon Animal Control Department is conducting a "Home for the Holidays" pet adoption event on Saturday.
The area-based Animal Welfare and Rights Entity - AWARE - is working with the department.
The adoption day is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Animal Control facility, 100 Windsorville Rd.
All adoptions are $50 unless the animal has been previously sterilized. Those adopting pets will be given a spay-neuter voucher through the state's Animal Population Control Program.
