Through Dec. 31, Vernon Patch is counting down 10 stories that made a difference the the town, to our way of life.

Some of the news was good, some was bad and some was even ugly. 

Here's No. 4- economic development.

Tractor Supply opened in November on the 400 block of Talcottville Road.

Cumberland Farms broke ground for a new store in December on the 300 block of Talcottville Road.

They were just two of 30-plus dedications, openings and renovations the administration celebrated with a ribbon-cutting.
