Residents will get a chance to meet animals up close at the Strong Family Farm on Saturday.
Farm Animals Day is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the farm, located at the corner of West Street and Peterson Road.
There is plenty of parking at the adjacent Vernon Center Middle School and Center Road School lots.
The rain date is May 18.
The farm has played an important role in Vernon's agricultural past and is looking to be a big part of its future with a transformation into a complete agriculture education center.
