Some Seats Still Open for Popular Victorian Tea

The second sitting still has openings.

There are still some seats available for the 4 p.m. sitting on Sat., Dec. 14 for the popular Victorian Tea.

The 2 p.m. sitting is sold out.

The Rockville Community Alliance is sponsoring the Victorian Tea as part of the festivities for Winter Fest 2013.

Dec. 14 marks the eighth year running for the event.

The hosts will again be Susan and Donald Fontanella and their Victorian house, at 6 Davis Ave., in the Rockville section of Vernon.

RCA officials are trying to convince Jeeves the butler to answer the door again this year.

Guests must register by calling Pam DiDio at 860-646-5320. Tickets are $10 per person and checks should made out to the RCA with "tea" written in the memo box. Seating is limited.

The menu includes scones with lemon curd, shortbread cookies, mini tarts, cheesecakes, tea sandwiches, chocolate and tea.

Men, women and children 5 and older with good table manners are welcome.
Those attending are also asked to bring at least one food donation or a pair of warm warm socks, hats, scarves or mittens/gloves for distribution to either the Cornerstone Foundation of Hockanum Valley Community Council.
