May 27, 2011: More Marchers
The parade lineups - and the weekend weather - are taking shape.
1. The Vernon Little League will march in the Rockville Parade on Monday.
2. Mayor Jason McCoy will participate in he Talcottville Memorial Day Parade on Sunday.
3. State Rep. Timothy Ackert is working in conjunction with the American Legion Post 52 to collect American flags that are tattered, worn and in need of proper retirement. The collection will occur from May 31st to June 13th with a flag retirement ceremony scheduled for June 14th at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Coventry.
4. The weather? Temperatures should surpass 80 Sunday and Monday.
