March 2, 2011: Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

It's also Read cross America Day.

1. Mayor Jason McCoy will be visiting Maple Street School at 1:15 p.m. today to commemorate “Read Across America Day” and address students attending the “Magic of Reading” assembly program. McCoy will talk about the importance of books and reading. It is also Dr. Seuss' birthday so McCoy will be reading “Green Eggs and Ham.”

With that, let's try the other four things in Green Eggs and Ham Speak …

2. Would the Council, could the council help fix two schools? Yes it did, with the Non-Recurring Fund and some tools.

3. Would the sun, could the sun shine again? Yes indeed, that's the way it's been.

4. Would the kids, could the kids choose a good book? In today's Patch Picks, we'll take a look.

5. Would the seniors, could the seniors play another game? It's Wednesday so cribbage is its name.
