Local Students Make More Than 2,000 Cards and Drawings for Vets
It was part of the Superintendent's Challenge.
This year, as part of the annual Superintendent's Challenge, Vernon students fashioned 2,141 cards and drawings for area veterans.
Northeast School was the leading contributor with 546.
Other contributions include:
• Rockville High School - 305.
• Vernon Center Middle School - 121.
• Center Road School - 428.
• Lake Street School - 215.
• Maple Street School - 315.
• Skinner Road School - 211.
It is the second year in a row local students made cards and drawing to thank veterans for their service.
